Why is this important?
Self-awareness is the ability to identify and accept characteristics about ourselves. This includes knowing our strengths/weaknesses, motivations and situations that are undesirable, positive/negative emotions, or having thoughts and beliefs (perception) about events that impact our lives.
Self-awareness is an attribute of Emotional Intelligence that allows for the navigation of SUCCESS. Through training in self-awareness, one is able to take ownership of having self-control, patience, perspective, and growth on the path towards happiness. Not only will you find contentment in yourselves, but you will also acquire meaningful relationships in your home and community.
